  1. The actress who plays Claire pronounces her name “Katrina,” not “Catriona” or whatever you said. But I can understand why. Non-English languages of the British Isles often have words whose pronunciation bears no phonetic resemblance to the spelling. Hence the character’s name spelled “Laoghaire” and looks like it should be pronounced “Lay-oh-gare” is actually pronounced “Leery.”

  3. We’ve only watched the first season so far, and really liked it. Debi has read all of the books, and even named our daughter after one of Claire and Jamie’s kids.

  4. Also, my wife said when she read the books, she read that one character’s name as “Log Hair”.
