  1. I tend to go with medium rare as well. When I cook at home, I get my grill (Big Green Egg) up around 700+ degrees and sear the steaks for 1-2 minutes per side. Next, I take the steaks off, let the grill cool down a bit, then cook them for another 4-5 minutes per side, depending on the thickness. Not much beats a well-cooked steak.
