  1. I was catching up on podcasts today, which resulted in multiple episodes of “Ramblings” — a solid block of Keith! I may never be the same.

    I have a friend who had the same problem with giving blood — actually, she had it with needles of all kinds. She would just pass out when ever she had to get a shot, or have blood drawn, or any of it. Ironically, she was a trained emergency medical responder! She could give shots, but couldn’t get them.

    She also had a number of allergies that became crippling after a time, so she underwent a treatment program that required her to get numerous tiny shots over a long period of time. She passed out regularly at first, but eventually got used to it. Now she has no problem with them.

  2. My last blood draw I made the mistake of not drinking enough prior to going in. They had a hard time finding a vein to draw from. I ended up going home with bandages and bruises on both arms.
