It sounds like we had more in common than we knew. I also made a short film on 8mm. Mine was stop motion animation with a little clay figure doing stuff around my house. Hopefully I’ll find the reel in the boxes of home movies my parents left with me. I also did model rocketry. My favorite was a glider that had a rocket motor mounted on it. The ejection charge separated the motor from the glider and it parachuted down while the glider came down in a big spiral. When I Tim Taylor’d the motor (MORE POWER OHOHOHOHOH) the tail fins broke during the ascent, and the whole thing plummeted to the ground in flames.
