I finally watched the first episode of Helix, and didn’t dislike it as much as you did. Yes, it had predictable moments, but I still enjoyed it and will at least watch the second episode before making a final decision. It reminded me a little of The Thing (John Carpenter version) mixed with a little of The Andromeda Strain.
