We had to deal with the prescription food thing for our cat too. When we moved back to the states, we bought a large bag of that food to hold us over until we could find a new vet. To balance the weight better, we put the food in gallon bags throughout our luggage. When we went through customs, they didn’t want to let the food in since it wasn’t sealed in its original bag. Thankfully the agent had a little compassion and left us with 2-3 days worth, but dumped the rest of it.
