A favorite of mine for sure. I really like Mother because of the way the background rhythm seems out of sync with the main part of the song. You think the beats are going to match up at some time, but never do.
You said about the song Synchronicity II that you didn’t know what the story about the monster and the story about the man had to do with each other. It’s my opinion that the two stories are the same. The monster rises from the lake, the man gets out of bed and gets ready for work. The monster moves along, the man travels to work. The monster’s shadow is on a cottage, the man comes home to his own house. That’s the point of the whole album – how everything that happens is related to everything else. To quote Synchronicity I: “A star fall, a phone call, it joins all, synchronicity.”
